17 hours of chasing bass. It was long, hot, challenging, exhausting, but so rewarding when you see fish like this.
The results paint an easy picture, but I can assure you it was not, and every fish caught was so deserved. This is the best top 5 we’ve ever had with the biggest fish we’ve ever had, and may ever have.
Our winner was Ian Morgan, with an incredible total of 177cm including a 74cm fish that for most locally would definitely be called a once-in-a-lifetime fish, so to get it in the chase is very special indeed and a moment I’ve dreamt of since we started this event.
With 62 anglers it was also the most popular event we’ve had. With everyone willing to put in so much effort to play their part it’s a pleasure to run them.
Well done to everyone on a long tough day, especially to Ian who is the first person to get their name on both of our trophies.
